Changes to booking dates, provided an alternative is available, can be made up to 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellations made after a booking has been accepted will incur the loss of the deposit as follows:
- Within 7 days of the booking being placed: full return of deposit
- Within 1 month of the booking being placed: 50% return of deposit
- After 1 month: no return of deposit but booking can be transferred to alternative dates within 12 months, if available.
Cancellations made after final payments have been paid will be rebated, as follows:
- 5 -6 weeks prior – 50% of final balance will be returned (deposit will be retained)
- 3 – 4 weeks prior – 25% of final balance will be returned (deposit will be retained)
- 1 – 2 weeks prior – 10% of final balance will be returned (deposit will be retained)
Alternative dates within a 12-month period will always be offered, if available.
It is recommended that guests take out appropriate cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE
On the Sunday prior to your arrival the owner will contact you by phone to give you details for accessing the property. This gives an opportunity for additional information to be given and questions asked. A further email will give details of the local area and how the cottage operates.
The cottage will be available from 4.30 p.m. on the day of arrival and should be vacated no later than 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. This is to allow time for cleaning and preparation, and to enable the house to be in beautiful condition for your arrival and the following guests’.
Pets are most welcome; it is their holiday as much as yours. It is your responsibility to ensure the gate is secured for their safety. Please clean up both indoors and outdoors after your pet for the safety of later guests.
In the event of your pet causing any damage, please notify us as soon as possible so any work needed can be planned for.
There is no telephone available at the cottage so guests will need to have their own mobile phones.
NO smoking inside the house.
An initial payment of 20% is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen dates
The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival
By credit card
by electronic bank transfer.
The balance of payment is due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. Bookings made sooner than 6 weeks before arrival must be settled in full immediately. Payments not received by the due date risk forfeiting the deposit and the booking being cancelled.
At present the cottage lies empty for one day following guests’ departure. The cleaning company enter Pindlers the following day to clean, sanitise and prepare ready for the incoming guests. This policy is in place for the increased safety of both housekeeping staff and guests.
This policy will remain in place until the cleaning company are confident with the pandemic situation.
Covid-19 BOOKING & CANCELLATION
If your area has been locked down and you are unable to travel due to restrictions, we will either change your booking to a future date or refund monies paid. Please ensure you contact us to make changes as soon as you know you cannot travel.
If our area is locked down and we cannot accept guests, we will contact you and either change your booking to a future date or refund the monies paid.
If you must self-isolate, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can change the booking or refund monies paid.
If you are travelling from abroad and your country is removed from the travel corridor, again we will either change your booking or refund the monies paid.
We will always do our best to ensure future guests do not lose out due to the pandemic, all we ask is as much notice as possible is given so that we have the possibility to re-sell the booking.
